I have been working in the wood floor business since 1986. I first started with a large flooring company in Connecticut. During the next 10 years the number of jobs I completed were countless. I worked on a different floor almost daily. Because of the large number of workers and the vast number of jobs, scheduling was difficult and many jobs were not completed on time.
In 1997 I went into business for myself. I operate as a Sole Proprietor which means that I don’t have any employees and take full responsibility for the work performed. I also don’t believe in scheduling a job and not showing up. Once a job is put on the calendar it is there to stay. I'm there at the agreed to time and it's completed when promised.
I realize there is a great deal of competition in my business and I’m sure my price isn’t always the lowest. I don’t, however, believe in “cutting corners” when it comes to the materials I use and the workmanship I provide. I believe the value of the finished product will out weigh any price difference.
Some noteworthy jobs I have worked on include:
The Governors Residence, Hartford, CT, (refinished wood floors and also returned on occasion to wax)
