                                           RESUME

I have been working in the wood floor business since 1986. I first started with a large flooring company in Connecticut. During the next 10 years the number of jobs I completed were countless. I worked on a different floor almost daily. Because of the large number of workers and the vast number of jobs, scheduling was difficult and many jobs were not completed on time.

In 1997 I went into business for myself. I operate as a Sole Proprietor which means that I don’t have any employees and take full responsibility for the work performed. I also don’t believe in scheduling a job and not showing up. Once a job is put on the calendar it is there to stay. I'm there at the agreed to time and it's completed when promised.

I realize there is a great deal of competition in my business and I’m sure my price isn’t always the lowest. I don’t, however, believe in “cutting corners” when it comes to the materials I use and the workmanship I provide. I believe the value of the finished product will out weigh any price difference.

Some noteworthy jobs I have worked on include:

The Governors Residence, Hartford, CT, (refinished wood floors and also returned on occasion to wax)

Goodspeed Opera House, (rehearsal room)

Thomaston Opera House, (theater floor)

Trinity Episcopal Church, Torrington, CT (sanctuary floor)

Middlebury College, Middlebury, VT, (finished new dance floor in Performing Arts building)

Thomaston High School, (Stage)

Torrington High School, (Stage)

Thank you for the opportunity to bid on your job.
